We’re seeking a Senior Data Privacy Manager to be the driving force behind the compliance for our game-changing autonomous vehicle project and to champion data protection excellence across all of Europe. This is a high-impact, mission-critical role where you will define the rider experience, ensure robust compliance, and champion a privacy-first culture within a fast-paced, tech-driven organization.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

• Hold total accountability for the privacy strategy of the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) programme, acting as the main advisor and escalation point for this high-risk, mission-critical initiative. 
• Design and operationalise advanced frameworks for the AV ecosystem, ensuring the lawful and ethical processing of innovative, large-scale data sets in alignment with European regulations.
• Navigate the complex privacy requirements of the technical integration with Lyft, ensuring seamless governance across shared infrastructures and harmonized compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Act as the senior subject-matter expert on complex and novel data protection and AI ethics matters, translating regulatory requirements into practical, actionable guidance for Engineering, Product, Commercial, and AV programme teams.
• Own and manage the high-stakes Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA) framework and the implementation of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), ensuring all global data flows are robust, defensible, and fully compliant with evolving international standards.
• Drive the continuous enhancement of internal data protection policies, AI governance standards, and privacy-by-design practices, embedding them into vendor management, procurement processes, and autonomous vehicle development lifecycles.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• An experienced professional, pushing the boundaries of innovation and execution in advanced autonomous vehicle environments.
• The Privacy Expert: Demonstrated expert-level knowledge (7+ years) of GDPR and ePrivacy, with proven experience conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), managing international data transfers (SCCs/TIAs), and overseeing privacy programs in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
• Fluent in English and German, ideally also in Spanish.
• Proven track record of delivering pragmatic, business-enabling data protection advice in fast-paced, international environments.
• A master communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate legal complexity into crystal-clear, actionable guidance.
• Highly diligent, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to own and manage day-to-day legal functions independently.
