Role Overview

The Senior Data Manager, Philanthropic Services and Partnerships role is integral to the success and overall efficiency of the Philanthropic Services and Planning Team and to Hillel International’s constituent data management systems. As the Senior Data Manager, you will build and manage strong relationships across multiple teams within the organization and with external vendors. Through these partnerships, you will serve as the primary liaison and champion for communication and information-sharing related to constituent data.

This role supervises the Data Coordinator, providing guidance, delegating daily tasks, and supporting their professional growth. The Senior Data Manager also plays a key role in developing and implementing constituent data strategies. You will work in close partnership with the Senior Director of Philanthropic Planning and Services to make real-time, data-driven decisions, implement new systems, create solutions, and strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of Hillel International’s CRM operations. This position is fully remote for eligible U.S.-based candidates.

What You’ll Do

Data Management

  • Drive and manage the strategy for Hillel International’s constituency data entering the CRM through multiple channels, including manual updates, bulk imports, donation platforms, and registration campaigns.
  • Key liaison between the Philanthropic Services, Marketing, Measurement, and Technology Services teams to ensure information is shared and goals are met.
  • Oversees monthly and quarterly data append processes.
  • Responsible for training all Advancement staff, as well as new SIC staff as needed, on all key CRM features and tools related to their essential job functions and core responsibilities.

Stakeholder and Community Relations

  • Partner with external vendors to establish and maintain efficient digital and direct mail fundraising processes, ensure appropriate input of constituent data into the CRM, and implement holistic constituent data tracking.

Supervision and Administrative Support

  • Supervise the Data Coordinator and their work on constituent data input, hygiene, and reporting.
  • Provide campaign management and reporting services as needed to additional SIC departments, including, but not limited to, Volunteer Leadership Experiences, Jewish Education, Culture, and Community, and Hillel University.
  • Communicate CRM-related updates to the Advancement pillar, particularly Philanthropic Services, and ensure all updates are streamlined and implemented across the team’s independent and collaborative efforts.

What You've Accomplished 

  • 5+ years of professional experience with data management 
  • 3+ years of experience in specialized software applications, data entry and verification, and report generation
  • Salesforce NPSP experience required

What You’ll Bring to the Job

  • High level of proficiency with constituent relationship management tools, specifically in reporting, account management, and campaign build-out. (Salesforce NPSP)
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Proven success with data management software, including DemandTools, Apsona, and Workbench
  • High-level knowledge of Microsoft OS
  • Experience in diverse customer relationship management databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy in constituent records
