    Location: Location: 2-3 days Hybrid from Raleigh, NC or Bay Area, CA

    Job Details:
    The Enterprise Data Warehouse supports critical business functions including Regulatory Reporting, Finance, Risk Steering, and Customer 360. As a Lead Netezza Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining complex enterprise-scale data solutions while leading a small team of developers. This role is vital for building a resilient data platform, ensuring governance, and enabling strategic business insights.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    ·   Lead development and optimization of Netezza database solutions, DataStage ETL pipelines, and DB2 SQL queries.
    ·   Architect and implement large-scale data integration workflows and performance-tuned data models.
    ·   Oversee database security, user role management, and compliance with PHI/PII regulatory standards.
    ·   Perform advanced database tuning, partitioning, backup/recovery, and migration activities.
    ·   Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
    ·   Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
    ·   Support High-Availability and Disaster Recovery initiatives across data platforms.
    ·   Drive process automation and continuous improvement across the data ecosystem.
     
    Requirements:
    ·   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
    ·   7–9 years of hands-on experience with Netezza, DataStage, DB2, and SQL.
    ·   Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization at enterprise scale.
    ·   Strong Linux/Unix shell scripting skills.
    ·   Proven experience in leading teams and delivering large-scale data projects.
    ·   Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    Nice to Have:
    ·   Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake).
    ·   Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
