Job Description: Senior Power BI Developer (Contract)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Experience: 8-10 Years
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid – 2 days/week from office)
Expected Start Date: 2nd or 3rd week of January
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with strong experience in Power BI and SQL to design and deliver enterprise-grade analytical dashboards and reports.
The role focuses on building scalable, high-performance BI solutions using modern Power BI capabilities and cloud-based data sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
- Implement advanced DAX calculations for business KPIs and metrics
- Develop optimized data models (star/snowflake schema)
- Write and tune complex SQL queries for analytical workloads
- Implement Power BI security models (Row-Level Security – RLS)
- Enable self-service BI through reusable datasets and certified semantic models
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into BI solutions
- Perform performance optimization of reports and datasets
- Integrate Power BI with cloud-based data platforms
- Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, and best practices
Preferred
- Experience in the marketing domain (campaign analytics, customer insights, funnel analysis, etc.)
- Exposure to advanced analytics or KPI-driven dashboards
Cloud Exposure (Required)
- Exposure to any cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience working with cloud-based data sources, storage, or analytics services is desirable
Additional Information
- This requirement is outside the Business Systems of Customer
- The selected resource must work from the Bangalore office for two days a week, as per the current HR policy
- The resource should be flexible to align with any future policy changes
