Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Join Deezer's Core Product Division, the team at the heart of our music streaming platform that manages both the native applications and the infrastructure that powers them. As a Data Engineer in Core Product, you'll help build reliable and delightful user experiences through robust data solutions that serve millions of music fans worldwide.

We're currently looking for not one, but two position to strengthen two critical teams with additional Data Engineering expertise.

• The Deezer for Creators team focuses on delivering accurate, reliable, and actionable data to artists and partners worldwide. You'll be directly impacting how artists understand and connect with their audience.

• The Core Product Listeners Team enhances Deezer's consumer experience with data-driven insights and solutions like MyDeezerYear, MyDeezerMonth and Deezer Charts. This team builds production-ready data pipelines that enable product innovation and user engagement.

Job description

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, improve and maintain data pipelines and ecosystem

• Monitor data flows, detect anomalies, and resolve incidents

• Manage and improve APIs to ensure reliable access to data for internal teams and external partners

• Contribute to the team’s success through close collaboration with developers, product managers and other stakeholders

• Participate in the data community by collaborating with other data engineers, analysts and scientists

Essentials:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering

• Familiarity with data quality frameworks and best practices.

• Solid experience with  Spark/Scala, Python, SQL, BigQuery, ETL

• Proactive, organized and with strong team spirit

• Fluent in English

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Airflow, GCP or other cloud provider

• Affinity with Ops topics (CI/CD, monitoring, infrastructure, Finops) and tools (Ansible, Terraform)

• Experience with entity matching, data reconciliation or data science applied to quality problems.

• Experience AI/ML-powered data processing workflows

• Experience of sharing good practices between teams
