Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Engineering team responsible for designing, building, maintaining and scaling our Data Platform. As a Senior Engineer, you will  have an exceptional impact,  delivering high-quality work. Our data platform delivers real-time insights into client-side behaviors to detect malicious activity. It processes millions to billions of data entries from web applications, identifying cybersecurity threats and PII (Personally Identifiable Information) compromises.

We are investing in expanding the platform’s capabilities, aiming to offer real-time data analysis and support new use cases. Our customers rely on our products to digest large volumes of data into easy-to-read, actionable dashboards that highlight potential attacks and security risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to fulfill business strategies and processes;
• Ensure data models are aligned with business needs and processes;
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions;
• Ensure automated and frictionless data flow between different systems and platforms;
• Develop and implement policies and standards for effective data governance;
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards;
• Promote the adoption of cutting edge technologies and best practices in the organization’s data architecture;
• Identify and assess new tools, platforms, and frameworks to enhance data architecture and management.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data architecture, modeling, database design, and data management;
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data governance principles;
• Hands-on experience with technologies like Airflow, Clickhouse, MongoDB, Kafka and Grafana;
• Experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines from scratch;
• Experience with event-driven architectures;
• Proven ability to design and implement large-scale data architectures;
• Capability to drive innovation in data architecture and explore new technologies and methodologies;
• Knowledge of JavaScript is valued;
• Knowledge of Security/Application Security is valued;
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
