Senior Data Engineer

• Employ different data solutions and build the ETL pipelines
• Design, develop and present executive-level insights and reports to senior leadership to support business.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems
• Identify, design and implement internal process improvements
• Bring in new tools/technologies as necessary to make our systems more efficient and cost effective
• Design and development of a cloud based modern data platform with metadata driven approaches
• ETL best practices and principles application

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field of study.
• Have minimum 8 years of experience in software development.
• Experience in one of high-level languages such as Java, Python, C++ or Scala
• Excellent understanding of ETL cycle and SQL and
• Hands on experience with scripting languages for data engineering like mySQL and PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience on complex SQL queries and experience working with relational databases
• Experience with a Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI is a plus.
• Hands on experience on working in Unix/Linux Environments
• Cloud-non cloud DB environment installation & configuration is a must
• Experience on team work and continuous development/integration on systems such as Git version control system, including branching and merging strategies
• Enthusiasm about constantly learning new technologies
• Fluency in both written and spoken English is a must
