Build and operate data pipelines that transform complex defense data into reliable insights that support mission readiness and operational decision making.

At ILIAS Federal Solutions Inc, part of the Patria Group, you join the Defense Capability Management team. You work as part of a European data engineering squad while acting as the primary data engineering capability for US based projects.

You combine hands on engineering with on site execution, working in environments where data supports logistics, maintenance and operational workflows.

Your Mission

You act as a senior data engineer within a distributed team while independently supporting US based projects when required.

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL
• Process and transform data using distributed frameworks such as Apache Spark
• Work with databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQL Server
• Ensure pipeline reliability through monitoring and observability
• Extract and integrate data from complex or undocumented systems
• Execute on site data engineering work within restricted environments when required
• Collaborate with European teams and maintain clear communication across time zones

Support Core Defense Capabilities

• Fleet Management through processing and structuring data on aircraft status, availability and maintenance cycles
• Expeditionary Operations through integrating data flows that support deployment, readiness and operational planning
• Total Asset Visibility through connecting and transforming data from logistics, inventory and asset tracking systems
• MRO and Sustainment through building pipelines that support maintenance, repair and overhaul processes and performance insights

What You Bring

• US citizenship required for access to restricted defense environments
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with Apache Spark or similar frameworks
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQL Server
• Experience with production grade pipeline orchestration and monitoring
• Ability to work with complex or undocumented data sources
• Experience in regulated or secure environments is a plus
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with a remote team
• Clear communication skills suited to distributed collaboration
• Willingness to travel within the US and to Europe
