Senior Data & Copywriting Technician
TLDR
Contribute to the accuracy and quality of luxury product data by supporting the entire data lifecycle on the Farfetch platform, ensuring adherence to high standards.
Ability to consistently deliver above targets across diverse workstations, while handling the most technical or ambiguous tasks to ensure production targets are met. Ideally, you will have experience working in an environment that is fast-paced and deadline-driven in a copywriting role. A background in fashion and/or e-commerce is preferred.
Product Data Creation & Maintenance
Analyse, create and edit product information according to Farfetch guidelines
Maintain accurate and structured product data within internal systems
Ensure completeness and consistency of product attributes and descriptions
Assist in product mappings during ingestion, aligning partner data with Farfetch-standard structures
Support product creation workflows
Data Validation & Quality Control
Verify and validate product information by cross-referencing multiple sources
Identify inconsistencies in product details such as names, descriptions and specifications
Compare product data to determine whether items are identical or represent variations
Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy across key attributes
Maintain the quality of content on product pages
Research & Data Enrichment
Conduct online research to gather and confirm product information
Identify similar items across sources to support accurate data mapping
Extract key product attributes and enrich product records accordingly
Enrich product data to improve completeness and overall content quality
Review and edit adapted product content to ensure factually accurate and tone of Voice compliant descriptions
Issue Resolution & Process Improvement
Operational Troubleshooting: Acts as the first point of contact to resolve daily workflow blockers, ensuring the team's "go-live" pace is maintained.
Quality & Consistency Gatekeeper: Can do real-time quality audits (QA) to ensure data and imagery standards are upheld without sacrificing speed, and gives feedback to the teams
On-the-Job Mentorship: Can lead the technical onboarding of new members and provides continuous "desk-side" training to improve team efficiency.
Document issues and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
Support the resolution of BAU mapping and ingestion issues, including missing mappings and data inconsistencies
Assist in identifying recurring data issues and flagging them to improve processes
Process Optimization: Identifies workflow improvements or tool shortcuts to increase daily productivity across the team.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Intermediate Excel skills;
B2+ English proficiency minimum, with proven on-the-job use for professional communication;
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail;
Ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and inconsistencies in data;
Basic understanding of product data structures and mapping logic (preferred);
You have experience working within digital content writing;
You are a writer with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
