Visit our website for more about what we do!  About the Role At Qover, our data team is made up of engineers at heart, with a strong operational mindset. We support the daily execution of our insurance programs by ensuring our partners have access to accurate, up-to-date, and reliable data. We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to elevate our data capabilities. In this role, you’ll take the lead in designing, building, and scaling data products—from prototype to production—while applying best-in-class engineering standards. Our data stack: Airbyte • BigQuery • dbt • Python • Looker What You’ll Do : Your core mission is to build and maintain clean, scalable data solutions that power the launch and smooth operation of our embedded insurance programs. Concretely, you will: ●      Develop, maintain, and enhance our dbt pipelines supporting daily program operations ●      Design a robust data model tailored to the complexities of insurance data, requiring minimal changes when deploying new products ●      Implement a multi-tenant data architecture to ensure customer data remains segregated while maintaining a unified code base ●      Automate operational reporting to drastically reduce manual workload ●      Optimize BigQuery by leveraging synergies across data sources—keeping our warehouse lean and preventing it from becoming a data maze ●      Strengthen our data governance, through: comprehensive testing (data tests, unit tests, anomaly detection), clear and complete documentation, controlled access management, transparent data lineage Ensure the security and privacy of our partners’ data—one of our highest priorities. Beyond delivery, you’ll play a key technical role across the data domain at Qover by: ●      Continuously challenging and improving our data architecture ●      Uplifting the team through best-practice evangelization, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions ●      Supporting business users in becoming more data-driven What You Bring: ●       At least 5 years of experience in SQL and data modelling ●       Master degree in STEM is preferred but not a hard requirement ●       Experience in dbt and Looker is highly desirable ●       Fluent in python ●       You are familiar with the modern data stack ●       Experience with git, bash, CI/CD and docker ●       You have already delivered software products with units and integration tests ●       You have experience working with cloud services, and more specifically with serverless data warehouses. ●       Excellent communication and presentation skills and fluent in English. ●       While you always want to keep up with market trends and best practices, you are also pragmatic. You feel comfortable trading technical elegance to be able to speed up the pace of delivery ●       Willing to work in fast-paced environment and able to cope with time pressure ●       Autonomous, you are also hands-on with a strong team spirit ●       You are proactive and self-driven. You need minimal supervision and welcome changes. ●       You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity. ●       You have a can-do mentalityA true “can-do” mindset
