What We’re Looking For
VPL is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Data and Analytics team in Operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing business insights and analytics to the operations, sales and product teams at VPL. With VPL growing rapidly and onboarding new customers constantly, you will work closely with our customer success team to provide performance reports, dashboards, and insights to support their business reviews and customer outreach. As well as assist our finance team with projections and regular auditing of customer accounts, and supplier relations team with required analytics. The ideal candidate should be inquisitive, creative, self-driven and flexible with the ability to work within a dynamic high-growth environment.
What You'll Do...
- Directly support VPL’s operations with customer reviews by providing data reports, visualizations, and insights
- Analyze, interpret, and summarize data to generate statistical and analytical reports and data visualizations, presenting them in a useful and easy to understand manner.
- Create and automate recurring reports that assist managers with routine activities to accomplish team goals.
- Analyze operations during projects to develop problem descriptions, recommend solutions, and correct issues.
- Ensure high quality with the data and analysis results through excellent processes and by participating in peer reviews.
- Recommend process improvements and best practices, create documentation and train/ support other team members.
- Provide insight into system and process issues to the engineering team and leaders.
- Assist with KPI related research, analysis and forecasting for different teams at VPL.
- Develop high quality infrastructure or quantitative analysis tools; normalize data for reporting ease.
- Create formal presentations for senior executives, key stakeholders, and customers.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional data analytics experience.
- Excellent Excel, SQL, and R or Python expertise.
- Experience with data modeling, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Ability to build data visualizations using tools like Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Experience doing predictive analysis and utilizing statistical methods.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high paced, complex team environment interacting with multiple entities in different teams.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and assist team members with analytics and business insight skills.
