Senior Data Analyst - Treasury Ledger and Safeguarding

Due to continued and rapid growth, we’re on the hunt for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Ledger team in Treasury. The role is located in Shoreditch, London.

What you’ll be doing:

This role gives a great opportunity to combine your Product skills with technical data processing skills. You will get familiar with all key products at Wise, understand the business and the Treasury function.

The ledger team ensures that ledger data is accurate and timely. This enables the Treasury team to properly manage liquidity and FX risk. Working with various stakeholders (Product Managers, Engineering teams, Finance and Treasury controllers), you will:

  • Be hands on ledger data maintenance and data management - data analysis, data cleanups, automations and documentation.

  • Build data control models to ensure our ledger data is accurate.

  • Hunt down, investigate, and explain any discrepancies or anomalies

  • Assist in implementing new Wise products and FX financial instruments into our ledger, ensuring they accurately represent the true and fair view of liquidity and FX exposure.

  • Work and collaborate with other Treasury analysts in FX Risk, Liquidity, Safeguarding, Cash and Asset Management, as well as the Data Science team.
     

Who you are:

  • 2-4 years of experience in similar roles

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Advanced SQL skills

  • Python/R

  • Data visualisation and storytelling ability

  • Ability to self organise and manage stakeholders

  • Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements

Desirable:

  • DBT

  • Data modelling in a warehouse context

  • Some accounting notion or experience

  • Legally authorised to work in the UK
