The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data analyst to join us at Poppulo. This as an opportunity to develop core data services that are used by our product engineers to deliver industry-leading reports and insights to our customers, at scale. 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of complex data sets to produce more consumable insights.
• Create easily understandable reports, dashboards, and visualizations that effectively communicate data-driven insights by understanding customer needs
• Work closely with the Data Science team to analyze and comprehend existing data sets and models.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to iterate on data sets and models, continuously striving to enhance and expand the quality and depth of insights.
• Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements: 

• At least 5+ years experience in data analysis.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries and analysing query performance
• Understanding of database technologies – schema, logs, indexing, management tools.
• Experienced using Python for data analysis.
• Good understanding of statistics fundamentals.
• Experience creating data visualisations for non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Looker
• Experience working within an Agile development environment.

The following skills and experience would also be beneficial for this role: 

• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI etc.
• Familiarity with machine learning systems.
• Experience with AWS (S3, Redshift, Athena, etc).
• Experience with ETL Frameworks (e.g. Apache Airflow, AWS Glue).
• Programming experience with Typescript, Java or similar.
