AJ Bell is looking for a Senior CRM Email Executive to join our Direct-to-Consumer Marketing team. This role plays a key part in driving customer growth and increasing customer value through the effective use of CRM communications.

What does the job involve:

The Senior CRM Executive is responsible for the execution of AJ Bell’s customer communications through our CRM platform (Bloomreach). It will involve taking a lead role in the creation and delivery of email marketing campaigns, to drive customer engagement and campaign performance, and to enhance the customer experience. The role will involve working with a range of stakeholders to collate, organise, and implement the communications roadmap.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the go-to person for email delivery within the CRM team, supporting campaign setup, execution and optimisation
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand briefs, manage timelines and ensure all requirements are captured accurately
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Brand, Product, Legal, Compliance, CX) to deliver engaging, compliant and on-brand email content
  • Ensure all campaigns follow internal approval and audit processes, maintaining accurate documentation for regulatory assurance
  • Leverage Bloomreach to build and schedule campaigns and support the creation of customer journeys
  • Proof and QA campaigns prior to final approval, ensuring accuracy, functionality and visual quality before final sign-off
  • Monitor and share performance metrics (open rates, CTR, opt-ins, unsubscribes) from dashboards, providing clear reporting and insight to stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes, improving efficiency and consistency across campaigns
  • Assist in refining templates and layouts, maintaining visual consistency and accessibility in line with brand guidelines
  • Support with regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty, GDPR, and FCA guidance, ensuring communications deliver good customer outcomes

Competence, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 2+ years’ experience in Marketing and/or CRM (ideally within a regulated or financial services environment)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate briefs and collaborate effectively across teams
  • High attention to detail and process rigour, ensuring all campaigns are accurate, compliant and on brand
  • Strong project and campaign management skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines
  • Solid understanding of email marketing principles and current trends to maximise engagement and deliverability
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and marketing automation (Bloomreach experience highly desirable, but not essential)
  • Experience building, testing and deploying campaigns within a CRM platform
  • Confident using reporting dashboards to monitor performance, identify trends and share learnings with stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable liaising with technical teams, copywriters, designers and compliance
  • Some HTML knowledge would be advantageous
