We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Software Developer with deep expertise in SQL, SSRS, .NET technologies, and WCF services. The ideal candidate will be a strong individual contributor who can independently analyze, develop, and maintain complex systems while working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on SQL and .NET technologies
  • Proven expertise in building and debugging complex SQL procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of SSRS report development and data conversion
  • Strong proficiency in C#, VB.NET, and WCF services
  • Experience with SSIS for ETL processes
  • Hands-on experience with TFS/TFS DevOps tools and workflows
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in peer-driven development environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to quality and timely delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Domain Knowledge:
    • Experience with Asset Management firms, knowledge of capital markets, and fixed income instruments is necessary
  • SQL Development:
    • Design, develop, and optimize complex stored procedures, functions, and queries
    • Debug and troubleshoot complex SQL code to ensure performance and accuracy
    • Maintain and improve reliability of the existing SQL codebase
  • SSRS Development:
    • Enhance, debug, and refactor existing SSRS reports
    • Transition or rewrite reports to new data structures and formats
    • Ensure data consistency and accuracy across multiple reporting environments
  • .NET and WCF Development:
    • Design and implement new applications and services using C#, VB.NET, and WCF
    • Maintain and improve existing .NET components and services
    • Collaborate on developing new systems that integrate with SQL Server data sources
  • Integration and Data Management:
    • Work with SSIS packages for data migration, transformation, and loading (ETL)
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow across systems
  • DevOps and Version Control:
    • Use TFS/TFS DevOps for version control, continuous integration, and task management
    • Participate in daily peer code reviews and maintain high coding standards
  • System Monitoring and Support:
    • Monitor alerts and system health to ensure high availability and reliability
    • Respond to and resolve daily deliverables and ad hoc requests efficiently
