As a Senior Concept Artist, you will be responsible for visualizing and developing concepts that help shape the artistic direction of our games. You will collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to create compelling art that enhances the overall storytelling and gameplay experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate innovative and visually captivating concept art for characters, environments, and props that align with the game’s artistic direction.
  • Collaborate with game designers and other artists to establish clear visual goals and ensure the successful execution of concepts.
  • Create detailed sketches, paintings, and digital renderings to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to contribute fresh ideas and feedback.
  • Research and explore relevant artistic styles, techniques, and trends in the gaming industry to inspire original content.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior artists, helping to foster their growth and development.
  • Maintain project documentation, including concept art archives and style guides, ensuring accessibility for the team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working full time as a concept artist in the video game industry, with a portfolio showcasing a range of character, environment, and prop design.
  • Strong proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, or similar tools.
  • Expertise in traditional and digital painting techniques, with a solid understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Exceptional ability to translate ideas into clear visual representations and to quickly iterate on feedback.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A passion for video games and a strong understanding of game mechanics and user experience.
  • Experience mentoring junior artists and providing constructive feedback.
  • Willing to work in India.
