Senior Commercial Pricing Manager

AI overview

Lead pricing strategy and financial modelling for B2B bids while ensuring robust decision-making and continuous improvement in commercial governance.

About us:
Wifinity was founded in 2007 to solve a problem—our armed forces were struggling with reliable connectivity. While living in barracks, often in remote locations, ordering a landline and booking in an engineer just wasn’t an option.

And that problem isn’t exclusive to the military, either. Students living in University accommodation, families visiting holiday resorts, or living in shared accommodation and retirement communities.

Conventional home broadband doesn’t always work for them.

Wifinity is different. We offer the same benefits as traditional broadband, such as super-fast speeds, WiFi, and secure and private networks, but none of the downsides. We even offer Pay As You Go and flexible contracts, so customers only pay for what they need without hefty penalties or long contract terms.

We take the complexity out of connectivity.

The opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Commercial Pricing Manager to join our Commercial Finance function. In this high-visibility role, you will take full ownership of our B2B pricing strategy and bid financials, playing a critical part in shaping commercially robust, strategically aligned, and financially rigorous proposals. You will act as the commercial guardian throughout the end-to-end bid process, from go/no-go approval and governance reviews to contract signing, ensuring every commercial decision is reflected accurately, sustainably, and in line with accounting standards.

You will also lead the evolution of our pricing intelligence capability, ensuring our pricing frameworks, margin expectations, and commercial decisions are guided by real market insight and continuous post-mortem learning.

Key areas of focus:
You will work cross-functionally with multiple teams and own the development of comprehensive pricing models, bid financials, and commercial insights that directly influence the success and profitability of our B2B growth strategy. You will contribute to critical commercial decisions, capex justification, revenue optimisation, and commercial governance processes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will require you to (but may flex based on business needs):

Bid Pricing, Modelling & Commercial Governance

  • Build sophisticated, dynamic, and scalable financial models to support complex B2B bids and associated capex requirements.
  • Own the end-to-end pricing workstream for all major bids—supporting, challenging, and advising from the initial go/no-go stage through to final contract signature.
  • Ensure all commercial inputs, risks, accounting considerations, revenue recognition implications, and cost assumptions are robust, validated, and aligned with corporate financial requirements.
  • Lead variance and governance reviews across the bid process, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and full alignment to commercial guardrails.
  • Translate bid assumptions into clear pricing structures, customer propositions, and profitability outcomes.
  • Partner with finance, delivery, operations, and solution design teams to validate bid costs, operational feasibility, and long-term profitability.

Pricing Strategy & Market Intelligence

  • Lead the development and ongoing refinement of pricing strategy across B2B segments.
  • Build and maintain a market intelligence framework to ensure pricing positions are competitive, sustainable, and margin-optimised.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor behaviours, and cost movements to inform pricing recommendations and margin targets.
  • Provide commercially sound guidance on price points, pricing models, and margin expectations.

Post-Mortem Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement a structured bid post-mortem process, ensuring learnings feed directly into future pricing models, assumptions, governance standards, and commercial strategy.
  • Integrate pricing performance insights into long-term pricing intelligence models.
  • Recommend and lead process improvements to enhance pricing accuracy, speed, quality, and confidence.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Commercial Insight

  • Support broader FP&A activities by providing insight into pricing trends, bid win/loss dynamics, and commercial margin performance.
  • Deliver scenario models, sensitivity analyses, and commercial risk assessments to support executive decision-making.
  • Provide ad hoc strategic financial analysis to support key commercial initiatives or corporate objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted commercial partner to senior stakeholders across finance, product, operations, commercial, and legal teams.
  • Drive accountability across the bid process through clear communication, data-driven challenge, and commercial conviction.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to teams involved in pricing, modelling, and commercial evaluation.

About you:
You are a highly commercial finance professional with strong pricing expertise and a deep understanding of financial modelling, accounting principles, and strategic decision-making. You are proactive, organised, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can “roll up your sleeves” and take ownership. You bring strong commercial judgement, enjoy interrogating data, and can confidently challenge assumptions to ensure bids are profitable, competitive, and strategically aligned. You have a growth mindset and are passionate about continuous improvement.
