The Senior Collections Manager’s primary function is to create, implement, and monitor collections strategies, processes, and reporting to improve delinquency. The Senior Collections Manager will be responsible for managing collections staff members and oversee the performance of internal and external collectors and collections processes to ensure the collections department is able to continually reach department and companywide business goals. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement collections strategies to decrease the amount of delinquent loans for both internal and external collections departments
  • Oversee and manage both internal and external collections staff members to ensure collections and company policies, procedures, and strategies are followed
  • Monitor and prepare reports on collections performance for both internal and external collections departments
  • Address and mitigate collections related escalations and incidents for both internal and external collections departments
  • Oversee, manage, and audit collections strategies, processes, and reporting to ensure effectiveness, accuracy, and compliance requirements and expectations are achieved
  • Collaborate and partner with internal and external departments and personnel to enhance collections strategies, processes, and performance
  • Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in collections, financial services or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a consumer collection management role
  • Minimum 3 years of call center management experience
  • Advanced proficiency with computer functions with MS office suite strongly preferred
  • Ability to lead or manage 10-15 high performing front line representatives
  • Exceptional communication skills including verbal, written, one-on-one and team
  • Knowledge of collection industry regulations
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to resolve customer concerns
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate employees to achieve success
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Goal oriented focusing on both short and long term visions
  • Understanding of good collection practices and procedures
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
  • Compensation: $105,000 - $120,000 annually
