The Cloud Systems Engineer manages, deploys and maintains NiCE production systems, virtualization, SAN, Public Cloud and other supporting environments. The candidate would work on projects that are across multiple groups.

 

As a Cloud Systems Engineer, a Typical Day Might Include the Following:

  • Manage and deploy Windows Domain and Active Directory environment
  • Deploy Infrastructure Using CloudFormation
  • Deploy and Manage Public Cloud Compute
  • Performing Systems and Hardware Level Upgrades
  • Deploy, Configure and Maintain Physical Storage (SAN)
  • Monitor and optimize performance of servers
  • Manage Virtualization Environments
  • Maintain documentation of Environment and Processes
  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot problems and RMA parts as needed
  • Manage and deploy Linux server installations

 

To Land This Gig You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience Leading Projects and Delivering Solutions Through Completion
  • 3+ years working in an AWS Public Cloud environment
  • 3+ years managing and deploying Windows OS Servers preferably in a production environment
  • 3+ years managing and deploying Windows domains, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and IIS
  • 3+ years installing/configuring server hardware and OS
  • 5+ years managing and deploying virtual environments
  • 2+ years managing physical storage and SAN
  • 3+ years managing and deploying blade servers/Enterprise Compute
  • 3+ years hands on experience with engineering operations or enterprise operations
  • Experience working with CloudFormation/Terraform
  • Experience successfully working in fast paced, production environments
  • Experience working within a team of IT professionals; taking and following direction and completing tasks and assignments in a timely manner with a positive attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have good attention to detail, and the ability to make good, timely decisions
  • Be a Team-player, have a positive attitude and able to work with a distributed team in multiple time zones
  • Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP and SNMP
  • Experience with Chef or similar technologies

Bonus Experience:

  • Configuration and management of HP Enterprise Servers and/or Cisco UCS
  • Experience working with config management and automation technologies
  • Comfortable working with changing timelines and deadlines
  • Experience with Linux Server deployment and administration
