This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer in the United States.
In this role, you will lead efforts to secure cloud-native infrastructure and ensure security is embedded across all systems and workflows. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable security controls while collaborating closely with platform, infrastructure, and product teams. Your work will directly strengthen the organization’s security posture, mitigate risks, and enable fast, secure growth. You will stay ahead of cloud security trends, conduct threat modeling, and drive improvements in detection, monitoring, and incident response. This position offers a hands-on environment with opportunities to innovate, influence architectural decisions, and mentor other engineers. The impact of your work will be felt across multiple teams and customer-facing systems.
· Design and implement scalable security controls for cloud-native platforms.
· Harden infrastructure components through infrastructure-as-code, policy enforcement, and service isolation.
· Build secure-by-default CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and code.
· Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to integrate security best practices into architecture and workflows.
· Conduct threat modeling, risk analysis, and mitigation planning for critical systems.
· Develop monitoring, detection, and incident response improvements at the platform level.
· Build, deploy, and maintain security tooling and automation.
Requirements
· 8+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform security roles.
· Deep understanding of cloud security across AWS and GCP, including identity and access management, and system hardening.
· Proficiency with Terraform, CDK, Kubernetes, and CI/CD security.
· Strong track record of delivering secure, resilient systems at scale.
· Ability to balance engineering realities with principled security practices.
· Bonus qualifications: built security automation pipelines, contributed to open-source security projects, relevant certifications (GCP Security Engineer, AWS, CISSP, OSCP), or advanced degree in cybersecurity.
