What You’ll Do: Build and Scale DevRev’s Platform

• Engage with internal customers around cloud native application and infrastructure design to ensure services are built with scalability, cost optimization and security as primary considerations
• Design and support infrastructure as code solutions using OpenTofu and other automation frameworks.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters at scale, focusing on reliability, security, and performance.
• Own cost optimization across cloud environments, implementing strategies to balance performance with efficiency.
• Contribute to the evolution of DevRev’s multi-cloud and multi-tenant strategy, ensuring compliance and scalability.
• Mentor engineers, teach best practices, and influence DevRev’s platform architecture decisions.

What You’ll Need: Strong Foundations in Cloud and Platform Engineering

• 10 years in overall technical roles with at least 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps roles.
• Experience in leadership or mentor roles.
• Deep knowledge of Terraform/OpenTou for managing infrastructure in a zero console environment.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production, including upgrades, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Practical expertise with Argo CD or similar GitOps tools for continuous delivery.
• Proven track record of cost optimization in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and incident management.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Go, Python, or similar).
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Bonus Points If You Have: Expanding the Impact

• Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) for secure service-to-service communication.
• Background in multi-cloud operations and hybrid deployments.
• Exposure to compliance-driven environments (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, FedRAMP).
• Contributions to open-source communities in Kubernetes, Argo CD, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with advanced cloud cost management tools and FinOps practices.
