About the Team

Pindrop’s Cloud Engineering teams build and operate infrastructure so reliable, automated, observable, and performant that product engineers can focus entirely on creating innovative, global solutions—without worrying about what’s running underneath them.

We are a high-energy, deeply collaborative team with an unrelenting passion for reliability, scalability, and automation. If uptime, observability, and infrastructure-as-code are part of your personal belief system, you’ll feel right at home on the Pindrop Cloud Engineering team.

What you’ll do

  • Design, document, build, operate, and optimize large-scale, highly available, multi-cloud infrastructure and services.

  • Own and evolve key components of our SaaS platform running on AWS and GCP.

  • Manage, improve, and scale our observability stack and operational processes.

  • Analyze performance, usability, and platform stability issues, and propose innovative, long-term solutions.

  • Identify bottlenecks, manual workflows, and suboptimal processes—and automate them into reliable, measurable systems.

  • Work on multiple initiatives in parallel while collaborating across teams to establish and promote best practices.

  • Mature engineering processes from ad-hoc to well-documented, optimized, and repeatable.

  • Improve the scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability of cloud components.

Who you are

  • You thrive wearing many hats, juggling priorities, and context-switching in a fast-moving environment.

  • You can understand systems end-to-end, become a subject matter expert, and confidently troubleshoot, configure, and improve platforms.

  • You make thoughtful, high-impact recommendations across automation, architecture, security, and maintainability.

  • You are highly self-motivated and effective with minimal supervision.

  • You see problems, take ownership, and drive them to completion.

  • You have a genuine curiosity for technology and continuously explore emerging tools and approaches.

  • You’re comfortable diving into unfamiliar technologies and learning as you go.

  • You take accountability seriously—doing what you say you’ll do and consistently over-delivering.

  • You remain resilient, optimistic, and solution-oriented in the face of ambiguity and change.

  • You are adaptable, resourceful, and able to keep the big picture in mind while navigating details.

You have

  • Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale, automated cloud systems across multiple regions and zones in AWS and GCP.

  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) and service mesh technologies.

  • Strong background in observability systems for monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis.

  • Experience building and optimizing centralized logging pipelines for large-scale systems.

  • On-call experience, including troubleshooting, incident response, and system administration.

  • 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar cloud-focused roles.

  • Proficiency with infrastructure and deployment tooling such as Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Helm, Flux/ArgoCD, and Istio.

  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, and/or TypeScript preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD ecosystems and tooling (GitHub/GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog, VMware, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).

  • Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar), including HA design, query optimization, and debugging.

  • Proven experience operating distributed systems and applying CI/CD best practices.

  • Telephony infrastructure experience is a plus.
