Your mission

As a Senior Cloud Engineer (m/f/x), you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic Platform Team, designing, implementing and managing our cloud infrastructure. Your deep expertise with AWS and strong understanding of Kubernetes will ensure that our platform is robust, scalable, secure and cost-efficient, empowering our engineers to optimize their development cycles.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

• Cloud Architecture and Management: Design, deploy, and manage Cloud infrastructure on AWS to support our applications and services. Identify opportunities for system improvements, cost savings, and performance enhancements.

• Kubernetes Orchestration: Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of containerized applications.

• Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain IaC scripts (Terraform) to automate cloud resource provisioning and management.

• Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure (CloudWatch, New Relic).

• Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for cloud security, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide cloud-based solutions as a platform that expedites their release processes and enhance application quality. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Your Qualification:

• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering (with a strong focus on AWS).

• Comprehensive expertise in operations, networking and in-depth knowledge with Kubernetes and MySQL and NoSQL databases.

• Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and Automation (e.g., Terraform, GitLab CI and GitHub Actions, etc.) as well as experience in Application development (Java/Kotlin/NodeJS).

• Problem-Solving, Communication, and Product Mindset: proactive and analytical approach, strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts, understand the needs of our internal users and advocate for our platform.

• Passion for learning and knowledge sharing are rooted in your way of working, and you love to collaborate and contribute to a positive team culture in a remote environment.
