The Senior Business Operations Manager is the engine room of Huble's internal operations. This role is accountable for driving operational excellence across the business, owning our data and reporting capabilities, keeping our processes fit for purpose, managing our internal systems, and leading change initiatives from start to finish. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and execution, this person doesn't just identify what needs to improve, they make it happen, whilst leading and developing a small but impactful team.
π Here are a few of the tasks you'll get to work on
1) Lead and drive key operational initiatives
- Your role is to get S**T done. Whilst others are focused on clients, your role is to drive projects through to completion.
- You will lead a team who are running initiatives, and personally rolling your sleeves up and getting hands-on with a multitude of different initiatives at any one time.
- You bring strong project management experience β you know how to structure work, manage dependencies, keep stakeholders informed, and deliver on time.
2) Organisational Change Management
- You are a key individual focused on driving growth and change from within the organisation. Your role is to identify problems and challenges and work with other business leaders to resolve them.
- When a particular area is under transition, you ensure that business as usual is maintained and that any changes are effectively integrated into the business. This applies to structural changes, process changes, and toolset changes.
- You ensure that any changes are effectively communicated to the relevant teams within Huble.
- You will monitor daily operations and address potential issues as they arise.
- You will create alignment and synergy between teams.
3) Data & Reporting
- You are a KPI champion for the organisation, thinking both analytically and strategically.
- You will own Huble's reporting capabilities end-to-end, with a clear mandate to take them to the next level of automation and insight.
- You will own Board and Monthly Business Review reports, and be able to create new reports with ease as the business requires them.
- You ensure that the necessary infrastructure is in place to report on KPIs at a specified cadence.
- You analyse performance data to identify opportunities to improve business outcomes.
- You are a whizz with numbers β comfortable working across complex datasets, building models, and translating data into clear, actionable insights.
- You will manage and oversee operational budgets, ensuring spend is tracked, reported on, and aligned to business priorities.
4) System Ownership & Internal Tools
- You will ensure that Huble is using the right tools for the job and influence the way they are used across the organisation.
- You will own TeamLeader Orbit as a core operational system, ensuring it is set up correctly, used consistently, and evolves to meet the needs of the business.
- You are tech-savvy and already use AI as a core part of your day-to-day work. You will bring this mindset to how Huble operates and evolves its toolset.
- You will have automation and process efficiency as a constant goal.
- You will work across teams to streamline the number of siloed, disconnected systems used across the organisation.
- You will own Huble's internal knowledge management infrastructure, including how information is structured, maintained, and reviewed.
5) Business Alignment & Processes
- Working with the leadership team, you will drive the defining and documenting of Huble processes.
- You will own the Huble Digital Process Register, which forms the basis for ISO 9001 compliance, keeping it current, accurate, and fit for purpose.
- You will own Huble's proposition templates in Teamleader Orbit, ensuring they are accurate, standardised, and reflective of how we sell and deliver our services.
- You will measure the health of our processes and suggest cross-departmental changes to drive efficiencies.
- When a new service or product is launched, you will ensure that the relevant operational infrastructure is in place to support it.
- You are detail-oriented β nothing slips through the cracks on your watch.
6) Line Management
- Business Operations Managers
- You are accountable for the output and development of your team
- You will actively coach and mentor your direct reports, helping them to grow in their roles, work autonomously, and deliver to a high standard
- You set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and create an environment where your team can do their best work.
ποΈ To excel in this role, you should have the following
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in business operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing team members, with the ability to coach, delegate, and hold people accountable.
- Strong project management skills. You know how to structure complex initiatives, manage dependencies, and drive delivery across competing priorities.
- Proven experience owning data and reporting infrastructure end-to-end, including building dashboards, models, and reporting.
- Proficiency with data tools. Experience with BigQuery or similar data warehousing platforms is highly advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with PM/PSA systems.
- Familiarity with HubSpot is beneficial.
- Experience designing, documenting, and managing business processes, ideally within an ISO 9001 or similar quality management framework.
- Comfortable working with budgets, financial tracking, and translating numbers into operational insight.
- Experience with automation tools and a track record of replacing or augmenting manual processes with scalable solutions.
- Already integrating AI into your day-to-day work. This isn't aspirational for you; it's how you operate.
