Our client is one of Australia’s leading creative industries institutions, offering world-class programs in Audio Engineering, Music, Film, Game Design, Animation, and Entertainment Business.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead the analysis and documentation streams for the Academy’s major LMS and CRM replacement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Lead end-to-end requirements gathering across multiple departments.
- Develop structured, testable BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
- Conduct gap analyses and evaluate remediation or configuration options for LMS/CRM solutions.
- Define integration requirements for LMS, CRM, SIS, marketing automation, reporting tools, SSO, and third-party platforms.
Vendor Evaluation & Technical Review
- Review vendor RFI/RFP submissions and technical documentation.
- Assess solutions against project requirements and contribute to scoring matrices.
- Identify risks, limitations, and opportunities for improvement.
Data & Process Mapping
- Document data models, field mappings, migration rules, workflow triggers, and automation logic.
- Perform advanced process mapping and recommend future-state process improvements.
Project Delivery Support
- Contribute to RAID logs, decision logs, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery schedules.
- Support UAT preparation, execution, documentation, and validation.
- Provide analytical insights and status reports to project leadership.
Team Leadership
- Mentor mid-level Business Analysts on best practices, documentation quality, and analytical methods.
- Provide guidance on efficient remote-first BA delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst in digital, SaaS, enterprise, or higher-education projects.
- Strong experience leading remote/offshore BA delivery.
- Deep understanding of LMS, CRM, SIS, and system integrations (API familiarity required).
- Advanced analytical and technical documentation skills.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Tableau/Power BI, and BPMN tools.
- Experience evaluating vendor proposals and working on system replacement/transformation projects.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to mentor BAs and manage multiple streams simultaneously.
