As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving key product initiatives that enhance Pro onboarding and engagement as well as encouraging product-led growth. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, experimentation, and storytelling to identify opportunities for improving user flows, reducing friction in the onboarding experience, and driving deeper Pro engagement.

While your primary focus will be supporting product growth, you will also partner with cross-functional stakeholders—including Analytics, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Leadership—to inform product strategy and ensure a seamless Pro experience.

Our goal as a team is to provide the tools and foundational elements to maximize the lifetime value of every Pro who engages with HCP. We make a difference by facilitating the business as we partner to attract, keep and grow with Pros along their customer journey. We do this by optimizing their interactions with our go-to-market engines, and our monetary value capture along the way via pricing and packaging. In your day to day, you will: 

  • Become an expert in our products and services, and gain a deep understanding of our Pros and how our products and services enable their businesses
  • Drive results by supporting product and business stakeholders in identifying and answering key questions through data-driven analysis
  • Interpret data and findings and communicate these back to business stakeholders in written and visual format
  • Turn ambiguous asks into structured hypotheses + analysis plans, then execute
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to junior business analysts on the team
  • Develop deep expertise in our products and services so you can continuously identify opportunities to lead our Pros to success
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders to pinpoint key questions about Pro behavior, onboarding effectiveness, and feature adoption
  • Own the data instrumentation and event tracking needed to measure new and existing product features, particularly those tied to self-serve onboarding and engagement
  • Translate complex findings into clear, visual narratives that inform decision-making at all levels. You’ll ensure insights are actionable and accessible to a diverse audience
  • Build “evergreen” assets (metric definitions, source-of-truth tables, reusable datasets) so insights scale beyond one-off work

We think this role is for you if have...

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline; or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of SaaS business models, including how product-led growth strategies support broader business objectives
  • 3+ years experience with a BI tool (i.e. Tableau, Power BI or Looker (Tableau preferred))
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics platforms (ie Amplitude, Mixpanel) for funnel analysis and behavior insights
  • Proven success sourcing business questions from key internal stakeholders, refining, and answering comprehensively with data and analytics
  • Deep understanding of SQL and transforming raw data into usable datasets for analytical purposes
  • Experience owning analytics work from problem definition to decision, including navigating ambiguity and tradeoffs

  • Experience collaborating closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis

  • Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, whether leading your own projects or working cross-functionally with other teams

Our compensation range for this role begins at $5,000-$6,000 USD per month 💵
