Senior Business Analyst – Mine Monitoring and Control

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 2026
Work Set Up: Hybrid, with travel required.

Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a Business Analyst to evaluate and model business processes, identify business problems and opportunities, and capture relevant business, functional, and non-functional requirements to support the deployment of mine monitoring and control Operational Technologies (OT) within the mining segment of the value chain. The role goes beyond traditional requirement gathering by actively supporting business stakeholders through system configuration, developing user-friendly How-To guides and knowledge articles, and ensuring a seamless transition for effective technology adoption. The position collaborates cross-functionally with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, and Cybersecurity teams, serving as the voice of the business to ensure that technology solutions are designed and implemented with the end-user in mind.

What you will do:

• Evaluate and model business processes to identify areas of improvement and optimization.
• Capture, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Support system configuration and assist business users with operational adoption of OT solutions.
• Develop clear, user-friendly documentation including How-To guides and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with technical teams to align business requirements with technology solutions.
• Ensure seamless deployment and integration of mine monitoring and control technologies.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement to align project objectives and expectations.
• Maintain compliance with standards and ensure smooth handover of deliverables.

• BSc./BEng./BTech in a Technical (STEM) field or equivalent experience (BTS) with mining experience.
• More than 5 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of mining end-to-end value chain processes, systems, and tools.
• Knowledge of Mine Monitoring and Control Technologies (e.g., Collision Avoidance, Fleet Management, Payload Monitoring, Asset Management, Machine Guidance for Loading and Drilling).
• Familiarity with surface mining operations including drilling, blasting, hauling, and processing.
• Strong requirements analysis and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Critical and conceptual thinking.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Proven experience leading successful projects and teams.
• Ability to work independently and act as a self-starter.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
