• Utilizing knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, writing and backlog grooming of user stories using JIRA and Confluence; and ability to interpret business and functional
· requirements
• Planning, conducting, and directing the business problem analysis to be solved with information technology and software systems
• Decomposing high-level business and user requirements into well-written systems requirements
• Leading Joint Application Design Sessions which are used to gather software requirements from stakeholders
• Assisting on delivering POCs by contributing to current business state analysis and designing future state
• Working with the Project Manager to manage project scope, schedules, and expectations and assisting with creation of project plan and well-defined process workflow using MS Visio
• Developing & maintaining business and technical solution documentation defining functionalities of the application written in JAVA
• writing SQL queries on Oracle SQL developer for data warehouse modelling and data mapping
• Coordinating with Development and Software QA resources and assisting with Software Quality Assurance when needed
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and maintain strong customer relationships
• Creating and supporting data model validations
• Architecting, designing and developing reporting dashboards using Tableau/standard BI tools
Minimum Requirements:
Masters degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or a closely related field, plus 3 years of professional business analysis experience; or in the alternative, Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or a closely related field, plus 5 years of professional business analysis experience.
Experience, which may have been gained concurrently, must be in business analysis and requirements definition for IT systems and include:
• 3 years of experience in Java.
• 3 years of experience in SQL and writing SQL queries in MS SQL server and Oracle.
• 2 years of experience writing BRDs and FRDs.
• 2 years of experience working with MS Project and MS Visio.
• 2 years of experience in data warehouse modeling and data mapping.
Candidates for consideration will be expected to have knowledge, skills and ability:
• Sound knowledge of the accepted practices of the Business Analysis profession.
• Sound knowledge of Agile project methodologies and Scrum.
• Ability to facilitate requirements gathering meetings.
• Sound knowledge of relational database design structure concepts and IT systems architecture patterns (e.g., tiers of an IT system, Services Oriented Architecture patterns, etc.).
• Familiarity with User Experience concepts such as design for usability.
Salary range is $146,806 to $148,500 per year.
The position is remote and requires the ability to commute locally to perform work at client sites in the greater Boston metropolitan area up to 75%. Qualified candidates for consideration must also be willing to travel out of state up to 5%, as required.
