Senior Business Analyst (Hybrid Working)

The Team  

The team leads online marketplace's quarterly modelling and capacity planning processes, manages and continually evolves how we plan, manage and think about Run the Business, in addition to proactively responding to the dynamic nature of online engineering and the needs of its leaders and partners across SEEK. 

As a team we manage a series of recurring, timebound and critical online marketplace processes. However, it is also a team and role that requires an adaptive, highly responsive yet calm mindset that can navigate a high pace of change and ambiguity. 

The Role 

The Senior Business Analyst role within our technology organisation contributes towards Business Analysis and Iteration Management activities, within a cross-functional, agile, multi-disciplinary team. It is a key role that will drive day-to-day engagement and leadership within teams to facilitate the delivery of agreed team goals as well as align team’s bespoke ways of working with SEEK Culture.

Key Responsibilities 

Business Analysis 

• Acquire domain knowledge to understand evolving business models and impact on other teams. 

• Gather and analyse requirements to establish business rules and translate customer data into actionable insights. 

• Process map features and assist in creating user scenarios. 

• Work with partners and teams to set goals, prioritize deliverables, and support OKR processes. 

• Communicate with internal teams and leadership as needed. 

Iteration Management 

• Lead Agile ceremonies, facilitate workshops, and document outcomes. 

• Manage epics, stories, and tasks while maintaining the team backlog. 

• Drive continuous improvement by promoting collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and a high-performance culture. 

People & Community 

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment. 

• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing coaching of team members. 

• Share knowledge across SEEK’s BA and Agile community, contributing to capability building and Agile practices. 

Analysis & Problem-Solving 

• Strong analytical skills with experience in eliciting requirements, managing complex user journeys, and coordinating across team boundaries. 

Data Analysis 

• Ability to analyse data from multiple sources to inform decisions. 

Agile & Iteration Management 

• Expertise in Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and continuous delivery practices. 

• Experience managing epics, user stories, and tasks in tools like Jira and Confluence. 

Communication & Leadership 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating workshops. 

Community Engagement 

• Demonstrated involvement in Agile/BA communities through events or knowledge sharing (e.g., Lean Coffee, boot camps). 

Preferred Experience 

• Proven experience in continuous improvement initiatives and working in multi-disciplinary teams. 

• Familiarity with process mapping and iteration management in technology environments.
