We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Analyst to help us drive our digital transformation and provide exceptional service to our clients and employees. This team member will partner with the Data Services agile team to drive end-to-end delivery by flexing across business analysis, backlog management, agile facilitation, and stakeholder communication to ensure the highest-value work is clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered.
Position Responsibilities:
Serve as a hybrid Senior Business Analyst and Agile delivery partner, supporting the Data Services team operating in a Kanban-based agile environment
Own and actively manage the team backlog, including intake, refinement, prioritization, and readiness of work items
Facilitate agile practices as needed (e.g., stand-ups, backlog refinement, planning, retrospectives), adapting approach based on team needs rather than rigid frameworks
Help keep developers focused and unblocked by clarifying requirements, dependencies, and acceptance criteria
Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories, functional requirements, and supporting documentation
Proactively identify gaps, risks, and process improvements, and step into project coordination or delivery roles when needed
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology adoption, and develop business cases to support these initiatives
Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable recommendations
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and communicate effectively to ensure alignment of priority and drive adoption of changes
Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in relevant technologies and industry trends, and provide thought leadership and guidance to the organization
Work with the ePMO and all cross functional teams across Aprio to drive continuous improvement
Work with all levels of the organization to introduce, design, and implement changes in business processes and application practices
Apply system analysis techniques and procedures including interviewing various resources to gather required information, analyzing and documenting requirements
Be a trusted application advisor for development initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice
Qualifications:
4+ years of related experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to build consensus and drive change
Hands-on experience working with agile teams, including backlog management and continuous delivery models (Kanban experience strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of agile principles and the ability to adapt practices pragmatically to fit team and organizational needs
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize work in fast-changing environments with competing demands
Skilled at influencing without authority and driving alignment across cross-functional teams
Keen attention to detail, problem-solving and strong analytical skills
Experience documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills, and experience with project management software and data visualization tools
