About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer who enjoys building high-quality, reliable systems at scale. You’ll play a key role in designing, shipping, and maintaining backend services that power Rise’s products, while upholding strong standards for code quality, performance, and real-world impact.
What you'll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to design and build backend features
- Build, maintain, and improve scalable backend services, systems, and infrastructure
- Own features end-to-end across the product lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Improve system performance, reliability, and developer experience
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions
What We Are Looking For:
- 4+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years using Node.js
- Strong experience building data-driven, distributed systems
- Proficiency with our stack: TypeScript, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, and Kubernetes
- Previous experience working in the Financial Services industry.
- Previous experience with collaborating in an Agile remote environment.
- Previous experience working with Kafka or similar (we use NATS).
