Senior Backend Engineer - Retention (Bonus and Loyalty)

As part of our Retention domain, you’ll play a key role in developing the platforms and features that keep players engaged and coming back for more.

This is a great opportunity to join a fast-moving, flat-structured team as a Senior Backend Engineer, where your work will directly shape value-generating features across our products.

The Retention team powers the organisation with communication capabilities, ranging from indirect and direct communication with the players to a custom-built toolbox that enriches the player journey with bonuses, loyalty programs, and seamless cross-channel experiences. As one of the most crucial parts of the player lifecycle, the Retention domain ensures our players return for new, exciting, and rewarding experiences.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

●        Build scalable, robust and efficient solutions in our full-stack team and ensure the continuous delivery in our microservice architecture.

●        Be involved in technical discussions to challenge, propose, evaluate, and take a guiding and supportive approach to business needs.

●        Working closely with our operational units and stakeholders.

●        Driving your own initiatives with a high-quality mindset

●        You will work within the full chain of development, having end-to-end responsibilities

●        Collaborative work across the organisation with other domains

●        Making sure our IT ecology is scalable and ready for upcoming expansions

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

●        Minimum of 5+ years experience of working as a back-end developer with Java and/or Kotlin

●        Experience with messaging tools (i.e. Kafka)

●        Experience with microservice architecture

●        You have experience with common Java frameworks such as Spring and JPA

●        MySQL relational databases are not something new for you.

NICE TO HAVES

●        Experience with OpenAPI

●        Experience with BigQuery

●        Experience with Kubernetes
