Our Research & Development (R&D) team operates at the group level, driving innovation, guiding technical strategy, and shaping the next generation of financial technology across all our business units. This is a rare opportunity to work at the center of our most forward-thinking initiatives, helping us imagine, design, and build what comes next. You will work on projects that span multiple domains, from designing next-generation architectures to powering new business lines, modernizing infrastructure, and shaping future-facing strategies around AI, security, KYC, automation, and more.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate on ideation, prototyping, and execution of new revenue-generating products and businesses.
• Lead early-stage technical design and market-fit experiments.
• Design scalable, production-ready backend systems.
• Spearhead key initiatives such as implementing an API Gateway, rethinking architecture patterns, and modernizing our CI/CD and security infrastructure.
• Contribute to group-wide strategies in areas like AI adoption, KYC modernization, change management, and long-term technical planning.
• Partner with multiple business units to align R&D outcomes with group objectives.
• Identify inefficiencies and transform existing workflows, systems, and tools to boost operational excellence.
• Drive developer experience improvements through automation, refactoring, and standardization.
• Assess, experiment with, and recommend emerging technologies for adoption across the organization.
• Support engineering teams with innovation initiatives and guide toolchain modernization.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code with a focus on reliability and testability.
• Debug complex issues and provide technical guidance across multiple stacks.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Document systems, decisions, experiments, and methodologies to support transparency across teams.

• Strategic mindset and can contribute to architecture evolution, including API gateways, CI/CD modernization, security enhancements, and platform-wide improvements.
• Comfortable working across multiple domains including AI, KYC, infrastructure, automation, change management, and can adapt quickly as priorities evolve.
• Partners with diverse stakeholders across business units to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
• Keen eye for identifying inefficiencies and a passion for modernizing processes, tool chains, and developer workflows.
• Debugs complex issues, providing technical leadership across stacks, and elevating engineering standards.
• Excels at documentation and transparency, ensuring that experiments, decisions, and systems are well-understood across teams.
