Senior Backend Engineer

Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and evolve the backend and platform services that power an AI-driven automotive platform.

This role focuses on backend-heavy, cloud-native development, with exposure to AI-enabled systems, APIs, and data flows. You will work across multiple services and languages, collaborating closely with AI/ML, Android, QA, DevOps, and Product teams.

While primarily backend-focused, the role requires full-stack awareness and a strong systems mindset. 

What will you do?

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting AI-driven features
• Work with cloud-based architectures and distributed systems
• Implement reliable, scalable, and secure data and service integrations
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to support model integration and inference workflows
• Work with relational databases and SQL for data persistence and analytics needs 
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture alignment 
• Contribute to observability, performance tuning, and operational stability 
• Support CI/CD, testing, and deployment processes in collaboration with DevOps 

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong backend development experience in one or more languages: Python, C#, Kotlin
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases 
• Experience building APIs and backend services in production environments
• Good understanding of distributed systems and service-based architectures
• Full-stack awareness with a clear backend emphasis
• Curiosity and interest in AI / ML concepts and systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Experience working in AI-enabled or data-intensive systems
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures or messaging systems
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines 
• Experience in automotive, embedded, or platform environments
