Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs
- Integrate with modern AI platforms and LLM APIs
- Design robust systems for scale, observability, and reliability
- Collaborate with frontend, design, and product teams to shape features end-to-end
- Manage infrastructure and deployment pipelines in a cloud-native environment
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
- Stay current with industry trends in backend development and AI tooling
Key Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of backend development experience using Python
- Experience building APIs with modern Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django REST)
- Proficient with asynchronous programming and data validation schemas
- Experience integrating AI APIs (e.g., LLMs, embeddings, assistants)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially GCP or similar like AWS/Azure)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching strategies
- Solid grasp of API security, authentication, and scalability best practices
Bonus Points:
- Experience with serverless architecture or event-driven systems
- Prior exposure to vector databases or semantic search
- Familiarity with frontend collaboration (React/Next.js or similar)
- Background in early-stage startups or AI product development
