Currently, we are seeking a Senior .Net/C# Developer with a strong English level to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:
Position Title: Senior Backend Developer
Location: Guatemala City, Guatemala, in office
What you will be doing:
Take ownership of an existing C# and NET code base, ramp quickly, build a strong understanding of how it works, and improve structure, clarity, and maintainability over time
Create, update, and manage comprehensive technical documentation including system configurations, integration specifications, data flows, process diagrams, user guides, and standard operating procedures for RDS, PCS, and related platforms.
Create clear technical documentation for the code base, and explain how it works in a way other team members and leaders can understand
Maintain and improve existing integrations, with the primary integration surface being the Dispatch Science API
Support integration work that does not use the Dispatch Science API, which was described as more SQL based, including pulling from a data warehouse when needed
Work in a model where there is limited broad stakeholder interaction
Track and communicate progress using lightweight project tracking methods that were described as tools like Trello or OneNote, rather than a formal ticketing workflow
Contribute to maintaining and improving existing automation and integration projects, with automation of reporting mentioned as an example of the type of work the team expects to maintain and improve
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
5+ years of experience with object-oriented application development in a Microsoft .NET/C# environment.
4+ years of experience with SQL Server.
5+ experience with microservices / APIs.
Experience with containers (Dockers, Kubernetes) preferred.
Experience building and maintaining API integrations, Dispatch Science API experience is not required and can be learned (Plus)
Experience working in projects using Agile methodology.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient understanding of current code
