Leveraging the power of stablecoins pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar (e.g., USDC, USDT, and PYUSD), we deliver our innovative solutions through our commercial trading function and our B2B products (our Payments API and Treasury Portal).

We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer who is technically strong, deeply thoughtful, and comfortable owning systems that operate in high-stakes, real-world environments.

This is not a “ticket-taker” role. You will design, build, review, and evolve distributed backend systems used by millions while collaborating closely with product and high-paced stakeholders and other engineering teams.

Key responsibilities 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering mission-critical financial workflows.
• Own features end-to-end: from design and implementation to monitoring and iteration.
• Build and evolve event-driven, serverless & Kubernetes microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with the future in mind.
• Participate actively in architecture discussions, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Ensure systems are observable, resilient, and production-ready.
• Uphold and improve engineering standards, patterns, and best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience as a Back-End Engineer (Senior-level / Tech Lead depth expected)
• Strong hands-on experience with Domain Driven Development.
• Strong experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms - Google Cloud/Azure).
• Proven experience building serverless & Kubernetes architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Experience designing and operating event-driven microservices.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, async workflows, and distributed systems.
• Experience with testing strategies (unit, integration, contract tests).
• Highly experienced in designing monitoring & observability systems. 

Nice to Have

• Exposure to fintech, payments, and high-regulation systems.
• Basic understanding of blockchain or crypto transaction flows.
• Experience improving system observability, logging, and monitoring.
