Job Summary
ITHR is looking for a highly experienced Senior Avaloq Certified Developer to support and lead complex Avaloq Core Banking initiatives for leading private banks and wealth management institutions in the Middle East. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in Avaloq customization, system design, and implementation, along with the ability to work closely with business and technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Avaloq Development & Customization
Lead parameterization and customization of the Avaloq Banking Suite based on business and regulatory requirements
Develop, enhance, and maintain solutions using Avaloq Script and Avaloq best practices
Handle complex custom developments across Avaloq modules including Payments, Securities, CRM, Accounting, and Reporting
Technical Design & Implementation
Analyze functional requirements and convert them into robust technical designs
Provide end-to-end technical support during implementation, upgrades, and migrations
Ensure high performance, scalability, and stability of the Avaloq platform
Tools & Database
Extensive hands-on experience with Avaloq ICE Workbench and Avaloq Smart Client
Strong expertise in Oracle Database (19c / 23c), including SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning
Ensure code quality, documentation, and adherence to release and change management standards
Support & Operations
Provide Level 3 production support, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
Collaborate with business users, QA, infrastructure, and vendor teams
Support regulatory and audit-related system requirements where applicable
Leadership & Mentoring
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews
Act as a subject matter expert for Avaloq-related initiatives
Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives within ITHR
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory
3+ years of overall IT experience with strong Avaloq Core Banking expertise
Proven experience in Avaloq customization, parameterization, and scripting
Strong understanding of object-oriented concepts and relational data modeling
Extensive experience with Oracle databases
Solid domain knowledge in private banking and wealth management
Certifications
Avaloq Certified Customization Professional (ACCP) – Mandatory
Avaloq Certified Implementation Professional (ACIP) – Preferred
Avaloq Certified Operations Professional – Good to have
Soft Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment
