Senior AV Solutions Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior AV Solutions Engineer is a senior member of the Global Technology Services (GTS) team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Collaboration in NY. This role provides technical leadership, strategic oversight, and mentorship to engineers, ensuring delivery of enterprise‑class AV solutions across the global footprint.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

• Lead project launch, coordination, and successful completion of large‑scale AV initiatives.
• Define and enforce global AV standards, ensuring consistency across regions.
• Develop project schedules, manage risks, and communicate goals to executive stakeholders.
• Coordinate with global teams to ensure delivery, budget adherence, and installation quality.
• Oversee firmware upgrades, coding, and compliance with industry standards.
• Direct partners, technicians, programmers, and engineers for deployment activities.
• Provide leadership in project handover, backlog management, reporting, and resolution of programming issues.
• Collaborate with construction teams, vendors, and consultants to deliver enterprise AV designs.
• Produce and maintain documentation including change requests, expenditure approvals, timelines, milestones, and handover packages.
• Lead troubleshooting of escalations, software issues, and complex technical challenges.
• Manage tasks, budgets, personnel, and partner relationships to achieve project objectives.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of AV practices.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• 7+ years’ experience in AV system design, room integration, and project/program management.
• Deep expertise in AV system functionality, integration, programming, and advanced techniques.
• Proficiency with Office365, project management platforms, CAD, and enterprise collaboration tools.
• Extensive knowledge of video networks, video over IP, switching, DSPs, audio distribution, and control processors.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex projects with global scope.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, agile under pressure, with exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical documents including engineering and architectural designs, timelines, acoustical reports, and construction documents.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and provide executive‑level reporting.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineering talent.
