Your Impact

  • Own the web automation strategy and roadmap, aligning it with company-wide quality goals and ensuring scalable, future-ready solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Web Automation Engineers, fostering technical growth, collaboration, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain scalable web automation frameworks using Playwright to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Define, design, and implement efficient automation strategies to reduce manual testing efforts and improve test execution speed.
  • Provide technical guidance and perform code reviews to ensure high quality, maintainable automation code.
  • Partner closely with development and QA teams to integrate automation early in the lifecycle and accelerate release cycles.
  • Drive multiple automation initiatives in a fast-paced CI/CD environment, ensuring stable and reliable test execution.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend cutting-edge automation and AI-driven tools to optimize testing, improve reliability, and minimize flakiness.
  • Build utilities and scripts to automate repetitive tasks, improving overall test efficiency and reducing execution time.
  • Champion innovation by incorporating desktop automation (Electron apps) and visual testing into the automation strategy.

We’re Looking for Someone Who

  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior SDET or Software Engineer, with strong ownership of large-scale automation frameworks.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing automation frameworks and custom testing tools.
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
  • Solid experience with integration testing and end-to-end testing of web applications.
  • Exposure to desktop automation for Electron-based applications.
  • Familiarity with visual testing techniques to ensure UI consistency.
  • Experience with AI/ML tools or frameworks, ideally applying AI to testing workflows or productivity improvements.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and hands-on experience integrating automation into pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker for creating and managing test environments.
  • Knowledge of web performance, accessibility and security testing best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and analyze test failures efficiently.
  • A strong advocate for quality at scale, AI-assisted testing innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points

  • Experience integrating Playwright tests into AI pipelines (e.g., using LLMs for dynamic test generation or execution prioritization).
  • Experience working with AI agents or prompt based testing frameworks to accelerate test authoring or result interpretation.
  • Has migration experience from Selenium to Playwright understands how to re-architect frameworks for speed, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Prior exposure to testing AI/ML-based applications or speech/NLP products.
  • Experience with API automation using PyTest.

Salary range

Salary Range: $140,000 to $175,000 USD per year.

This salary range represents the low and high end of the estimated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for the role is dependent on several factors. Our base salary is just one component of a comprehensive total rewards package.
