We are looking for a talented Automated Test Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Public Safety R&D engineering team in Pune.

How will you make an impact?

  • Experience with manual testing as well as test automation
  • Automation testing using .net & automation testing suite like Selenium and Playwright
  • Strong in DB testing & SQL
  • Manual testing – test case development
  • Working closely with your team you will safeguard the quality of all aspects of the team’s deliveries.
  • Execute Risk Assessments and derive effective test coverage following ISTQB guidelines
  • Create effective functional and non-functional test cases based on the risk assessment and take ownership of all aspects required for their execution such as
  • Building a representative test environment
  • Compiling and managing effective test data for all scoped tests
  • Update impacted regression tests and select the right set for execution
  • Create new automated testcase both within an existing framework and newly built solutions and take ownership for the execution and maintenance of the same.
  • Troubleshoot and identify complex issues and take ownership for ensuring their resolution
  • Have experience as a manual tester of Windows software applications.
  • Have practical knowledge of software testing methodologies, with an emphasis on Agile testing.
  • Have experience of Windows server and client technologies.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be fierce in your pursuit of product quality.
  • Be a self-motivated, rapid learner with an active interest in the latest tools, technologies and processes.

Have you got what it takes?

  • Have experience as a manual tester of Windows software applications
  • Have significant experience of automating testing.
  • Have practical knowledge of C#, Web API testing, Mocking, Selenium, SpecFlow/Gherkin.
  • Experience in preparing Test Plans/Test Strategies/Reports.
  • Database skills with hands-on experience in SQL.
  • Experience with defect management and tracking tools preferrable azure board
  • Experience with installing software builds/Configuration
  • Experience in code check in and branching using version control systems preferably Git
  • Tech stack – Azure DevOps test management, .Net C#, Selenium, Playwright, SpecFlow/Gherkin.
  • Experience working with Agile/SCRUM/Agile SAFe software development methodology 
  • Technologies
    • Should have strong experience on .Net, and C#.
    • Should have familiarity with Accessibility Testing tools.
    • Should have strong experience on browser compatibility testing.
    • Familiarity with Postman, Build Pipelines (Team City or Azure Pipelines).

You will have an advantage if you also have:

  • ISTQB/ISEB qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Virtual Machines.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with IP networking and Active Directory
  • Knowledge with VoIP based telephony systems (CUSCO CuCM, Avaya, Alcatel or similar)
  • Experience with Trunked Radio (Motorola, Harris or similar)
  • Experience of Azure deployed VM’s and external connection to them.
  • Experience with taking part in remote session to customer sites to help diagnose system issues.
