Overview: The Senior Auditor will be responsible for leading audit engagements, conducting risk assessments, and executing audit procedures to ensure compliance with established regulations and standards. You will play a critical role in promoting sound financial practices and identifying areas for improvement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute audits of financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop tailored audit plans based on identified risks.
- Supervise and mentor junior auditors and staff, providing training and guidance during audits.
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate audit findings to management and provide actionable recommendations to improve internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and insights.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations, standards, and best practices within the auditing field.
- Assist in the development of audit methodologies and audit tools to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in special projects and investigations as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA) is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, preferably within a public accounting or large corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, auditing principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and implications from data.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience working collaboratively with teams.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
