With the continuous business growth and expansion of Connor and its clients, we are looking for Senior Associate to help us further build our capabilities and manage global client projects. In this position, you will be responsible for advising and assisting clients on software license compliance and Software Asset Management (SAM) activities, with the support of senior team members. This role involves managing a wide range of compliance-related projects, advisory services, data analytics, license optimization, process improvement, and contract management for Microsoft and Oracle. Main Responsibilities: 

  • Lead all phases of client engagements—including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting—with a focus on license baselining, usage assessments, renewals, and ELP development. 
  • Conduct entitlement reviews and perform license reconciliations across multiple environments and publishers. 
  • Partner with client SAM, procurement, IT, and finance teams to enhance asset lifecycle visibility and drive optimization. 
  • Develop and deliver remediation and optimization recommendations that align compliance, cost efficiency, and best‑practice SAM processes. 
  • Analyze large and complex data sets using advanced Excel capabilities and related tools. 
  • Support internal and vendor audit activities by interpreting contractual entitlements, usage rights, and licensing models. 
  • Perform onsite data collection and troubleshooting when required. 
  • Research product use rights, licensing rules, and publisher‑specific metrics to inform client guidance. 
  • Stay current with industry trends, including SaaS licensing, BYOL, cloud consumption models, and ISO/ITIL SAM standards. 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes to improve efficiency. 
  • Manage engagement KPIs, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met. 

 

 

Requirements: Experience, Skills, and Characteristics 

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), software license compliance, or IT asset management, preferably in a consulting or enterprise environment. 
  • Educational background in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (B.TechM.Tech, MCA, MBA, BS). Certifications such as CSAM, CHAMP, ITIL, ISO 19770 are advantageous. 
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft and Oracle licensing, including hands-on true‑ups, entitlement reviews, and audit response support. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros) and ability to analyze large datasets. 
  • Practical experience with SAM platforms such as Snow, Flexera, ServiceNow SAM/HAM, Lansweeper. 
  • Ability to interpret complex licensing metrics, product use rights, and contractual language. 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify compliance gaps and propose clear remediation or optimization actions. 
  • Experience leading or supporting multi‑project environments and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical licensing issues for non‑technical business stakeholders.
