Led by the Vice President, Philanthropic Partnerships, the Philanthropic Partnerships team at ClimateWorks leads fundraising for the organization and supports efforts to generate funder interest in climate mitigation generally. The Philanthropic Partnerships team works to build strategic relationships with key funders in climate mitigation to support the top climate solutions and introduces new funders to opportunities in climate philanthropy. The team works closely with ClimateWorks Executive, Finance, and Programs teams, the Climate Leadership Initiative, and regional climate foundations.
The Senior Associate, Philanthropic Partnerships (Senior Associate) plays a critical role in the success of ClimateWorks Foundation’s fundraising efforts. The Senior Associate works closely with the Philanthropic Partnerships Philanthropy team of frontline fundraisers (Sr. Managers and Managers) to support donor activities, with a focus on reporting deliverables and curating program content to support all donor-related work. The Senior Associate will be responsible for collaborating with colleagues across ClimateWorks departments to collect, synthesize, and curate program information and develop high-quality reports and materials to support donor deliverables. The Senior Associate will also be responsible for facilitating ClimateWorks’ internal grant agreement review and approval process. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Philanthropic Partnerships and supports the Partnerships team in meeting revenue targets to advance ClimateWorks’ impact.
Donor Deliverables: The Senior Associate will support the Philanthropic Partnerships team’s work on fundraising and donor activities, with a primary focus on reporting deliverables. In coordination with the Partnerships team’s frontline fundraisers (Sr. Managers and Managers), the Senior Associate will work across departments (Programs, Finance, and Strategy, Learning and Impact) to lead the collection and preparation of content needed to satisfy donor reporting deliverables. This role will work closely with ClimateWorks colleagues to ensure that all donor reports are high-quality and support retaining and increasing support from donors.
Content Collection and Curation: The Philanthropic Partnerships team manages a high volume of reporting deliverables. The Senior Associate will support the capacity for and increased efficiency of developing all reporting deliverables by collecting and curating program content in “information banks.” In collaboration with Philanthropic Partnerships and Programs team colleagues, the Senior Associate will collect program content, information, and resources that can be leveraged in developing materials related to reporting deliverables. The Senior Associate will be responsible for updating program content on a regular basis to ensure the information’s relevance and accuracy.
Grant Agreements: The Senior Associate will review incoming grant agreements for accuracy and alignment with the corresponding grant proposals. The Senior Associate will also facilitate the internal grant agreement review and approval process, coordinating with colleagues from ClimateWorks’ Programs, Finance, and Legal teams. The Senior Associate’s attention to detail and oversight of this process will ensure timely execution of grant agreements and payment of awards to ClimateWorks Foundation.
Collaboration and Coordination: The Senior Associate will work with colleagues across ClimateWorks’ departments and all levels of the organization to advance the organization’s fundraising goals. The Senior Associate will collaborate closely with members of the Philanthropy team (Sr. Managers and Managers), who each support all donor-related activities for a portfolio of programs at ClimateWorks. The Senior Associate will also be responsible for collaborating and coordinating work with colleagues from ClimateWorks’ Programs, Finance, Strategy, Learning and Impact, and Legal teams to support the development of reporting deliverables and execution of grant agreements.

Salary Range (Bay Area / NYC): $90,000 - $95,000 annually
Salary Range (Other US): $85,000 - $90,000 annually
