What You Will Do

Chomps is looking for a multi-disciplinary Senior Associate, Motion Designer & Editor who thrives in a high-output, creatively driven environment. You'll edit video content across social and paid media, design motion graphics that feel native to each platform, and keep our creative assets organized so nothing gets lost in the chaos. This person will be working directly with our Manager, Creative Content & Production and VP of Creative to bring Chomps' motion language and visual world to life. We're looking for someone who is a born creative problem solver with nimble solutions, and has the ability to make a little footage go a long way. We're looking for someone who combines technical excellence with cultural fluency; someone who understands platform-specific storytelling, has impeccable taste, and can execute at the highest level while building workflows for a nimble team.

Responsibilities

  • Edit video content: Cut social videos, paid ads, longer-form content, and anything else that needs storytelling through editing; optimized for platform and format
  • Design motion graphics: Animate text, create transitions, design lower thirds, build templates, and bring visual energy to content through motion design
  • Manage assets: Build and maintain an organized asset library (footage, stills, graphics, music, templates) so the team can move fast and nothing gets lost
  • Collaborate with the content team: Work closely with the Manager, Content Creation & Production to execute on creative concepts and provide input on what's working (or not)
  • Stay platform-fluent: Keep a pulse on what's resonating across social platforms and apply those insights to how you edit and design
  • Optimize workflows: Help establish repeatable systems for editing, exporting, versioning, and organizing content so we're not reinventing the wheel every time
  • Experiment and iterate: Try new techniques, test different styles, and help shape what Chomps content looks and feels like.
  • Make sure Chomps' content feels polished, culturally relevant, and platform-native — never stiff or generic
  • Producing a steady stream of assets without bottlenecks or chaos
  • Ensure effective asset management so teams can quickly find the resources they need, when they need them
  • Build templates and systems that make the team more efficient over time
  • Contributing creative ideas, not just executing on someone else's vision

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience editing video and designing motion graphics (agency, in-house, or freelance)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and asset management tools (Frame.io, Dropbox, Google Drive, DAMs, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of social media formats, specs, and platform-specific best practices
  • A portfolio that shows range: social content, paid ads, motion design, and editorial storytelling
  • Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and hit deadlines without constant oversight
  • Have a collaborative spirit and willingness to give and receive feedback
