Role Overview

As Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in supporting Coupang’s businesses in the region by providing strategic legal advice across multiple jurisdictions. You will partner with business leaders to enable innovation while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, global environment where your expertise will directly impact Coupang’s success.

What You Will Do

• Provide legal advice on commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters impacting Coupang’s operations.
• Provide Corporate Secretarial support to Singapore based entities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership deals, and other commercial arrangements.
• Advise internal stakeholders on risk management and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support cross-functional teams on business initiatives, product launches, and international expansion.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and proactively update internal policies and processes.
• Manage external counsel relationships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality legal support.

Basic Qualifications

• Law degree; licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum 10+ years PQE, including in-house experience.
• Strong background in corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in e-commerce, technology, or fast-paced multinational environments.
• Ability to manage complex projects and provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
