Transform client templates into dynamic reporting solutions by utilizing advanced Microsoft Report Builder features and leveraging AI for efficient data presentation.

About Juniper Square

Our mission is to unlock the full potential of private markets. Privately owned assets like commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital make up half of our financial ecosystem yet remain inaccessible to most people. We are digitizing these markets, and as a result, bringing efficiency, transparency, and access to one of the most productive corners of our financial ecosystem. If you care about making the world a better place by making markets work better through technology – all while contributing as a member of a values-driven organization – we want to hear from you.

Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing our teams to collaborate effectively across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian Provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England. We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.

About your role

We are looking for a builder—someone who sees data structures and logic puzzles where others just see numbers and chaos. In this role, you will take ownership of the reporting lifecycle, transforming client templates into live, dynamic solutions.

You will ensure the data foundation in Investran matches the design requirements, then engineer the necessary drivers in Query Manager (Report Wizard) to power the final layout in Report Builder. You will orchestrate this process to deliver solutions that are as visually precise as they are technically sound.

What you’ll do

Architect Dynamic Solutions: Build resilient, future-proof PDFs in Microsoft Report Builder that intelligently adapt to variable data. You will design logic for row suppression, conditional labeling, and sequential footnotes that can handle every scenario automatically.

Engineer Data Drivers: Analyze report designs to distinguish between static and dynamic elements, determining the precise level (Legal Entity, Investor, etc.) where data resides. You will build targeted drivers in Investran Query Manager (Report Wizard), leveraging UDFs to ensure SSRS receives exactly the dataset it needs.

Implement Advanced Logic: Utilize the full Report Builder toolkit—including Custom Code (VBA), subreports, and calculated fields—to handle sophisticated presentation requirements. You will use these tools to drive dynamic grouping and control complex content flow.

Solve the Puzzle: Independently reverse-engineer solutions for unique reporting challenges that lack a playbook. You will approach discrepancies and layout issues as logic puzzles to be solved, not just bugs to be fixed.

Leverage AI Strategically: Use AI as a force multiplier to accelerate syntax writing and troubleshooting, allowing you to execute your architectural goals with greater efficiency.

Qualifications

System Mastery: Proven experience with Investran (specifically Query Manager/Report Wizard) and Microsoft Report Builder. You are comfortable navigating the Investran data structure to extract the right information and using the Report Builder interface to present it perfectly.

Logic & Visual Thinking: A deep understanding of arrays and data relationships is essential. You can mentally map how a flat dataset flows through a system and transforms into a grouped matrix, prioritizing sound structure above all else.

Resourceful Execution: You thrive in environments where the answer isn't immediately obvious. You can take a high-level request, reverse-engineer the necessary logic, and build a solution from scratch.

Continuous Reconciliation: You reconcile as you go, validating every step of the process. From data input to driver construction and the final report build, you compare the output against the sample—ensuring the data pulls correctly and the visual formatting is as expected.
