The Strategic Finance Center of Excellence (COE) is a newly formed team focused on centralizing, standardizing, and modernizing key financial operations to unlock scale, accuracy, and strategic capacity across LinkedIn. As we build for the future, this team will act as business process owners, driving design and continuous improvement across high-impact financial workflows such as accrual processes and headcount & position management. The senior associate will be focused on either our Marketplace/GTM or Foundations business units, and a mix of OPEX/expense management and headcount workstreams to begin, with additional scope coming over time. This team will also support the discovery and adoption of new tools and tackle automation opportunities. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-minded Senior Associate to join the COE. This individual will take ownership of end-to-end workstreams, working to identify inefficiencies, implement scalable solutions, and embed best practices across finance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys solving operational challenges, and is skilled at transforming fragmented and siloed processes into structured, scalable solutions through thoughtful design and cross-functional collaboration. 

Responsibilities 

Strategic Thinking 

  • Business process owner for designated financial workstreams with a focus driving on consistency, scalability, and operational excellence. Designs and redesigns processes to enhance accuracy, reduce manual effort, and improve end-to-end efficiency across financial operations 
  • Learns to identify new opportunities for growth within a limited scope and supports strategy development with business partners.   

Stakeholder Influence 

  • Collaborates with functional finance partners and systems teams to define processes / best practices and drive change management 
  • Leverages insights and data to develop narratives to influence stakeholders with some guidance. Deliver clear, data-informed narratives and presentations to support strategic and operational decision-making    

Execution & Organization 

  • Ensures quality assurance of outputs and execution against defined timelines and SLAs, including validating accuracy, completeness, and adherence to agreed standards prior to delivery 
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures to develop workstreams and operational processes. Gathers stakeholder feedback and synthesizes into data-driven recommendations. 
  • Develops standard workstreams and operational processes according to defined procedures. 

Performance Management 

  • Access, transform, and synthesize data from cross-platform data sources and analyze to assess signals, trends, and risks. 
  • Executes ad hoc analyses to prove/disprove hypotheses and address ambiguous or complex business questions, deriving actionable insights from results.

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 3 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience. 

 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • 1+ years of experience in the technology industry. 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (FP&A, Finance Ops or related), ideally in process design or redesign, particularly in financial operations such as expense and headcount management (e.g., accruals, position management, forecasting).  
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, experience in SQL and data tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau);  
  • Experience in program management and owning project end-to-end (including effective communication, stakeholder management), with the ability to drive alignment across functions and complex stakeholder maps. A record of proactive problem solving and a strong sense of ownership when tackling complex organizational issues.

The pay range for this role is $98,000-$158,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
