Position Overview

The Senior Data Researcher plays a crucial role in the Data Research team, supporting content creation by collecting, classifying, and reviewing data to enhance our articles. This position is pivotal in ensuring the swift, accurate, and high-quality publication of content across Forbes Marketplace properties, including Forbes Health, Forbes Advisor US, Forbes Advisor International, Forbes Home and Forbes Business. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a subgroup of researchers, overseeing their work, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data research and insights. You will work closely with the Data Research Manager to implement strategies, streamline processes, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. As a senior member of the team, you will also play a key role in mentoring and guiding associate researchers.

Skill & Experience We seek a dynamic and analytical Senior Data Researcher with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will conduct in-depth primary & secondary research, design and execute research projects, and provide actionable recommendations for informed business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in data research or analysis, with a demonstrated track record of leading or mentoring a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow descriptions and guidelines.
  • Solid project management experience with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Proficient in data entry and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a subgroup of data researchers. Assign tasks, provide direction, and monitor progress to ensure the successful completion of projects. Act as a point of contact for sub group members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the research topics covered by your areas space (products, providers, metrics, attributes) to ensure that you can provide the best support in case of questions and issues with the researchers.
  • Ensure the integrity of data by performing thorough quality checks and validation processes. Identify issues in research methodology and recommend improvements.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to new joiners and associate researchers of the team. Assist with training, and developing the knowledge based skills of team members.
  • Consistently performing research in completing high Priority complex projects along with researching on DataHive ensuring that deliverables are met as per the required standards and timelines.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of your subgroup, offering feedback to team members to improve outcomes.
  • Manage and oversee multiple data research projects simultaneously. Monitor timelines, resources, and quality to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet business objectives.
