The Opportunity

We are looking for a high performing 5+ PQE Senior Associate to join our highly successful Corporate & Commercial practice in January 2026. We’d love the successful candidate to be based in/around Christchurch, but we can be flexible for the right person.

This position is ideal for a well-rounded corporate and commercial lawyer with demonstrated capital raising and M&A expertise, as well as an ability to assist our diverse client base with a varied range of general commercial, privacy and corporate work. You will work alongside a team of exceptional lawyers to deliver quality work and an exceptional experience to every client you interact with.

We act for an incredibly diverse client base, helping them with a broad range of needs including capital raising (Seed, Series A, Series B, and beyond), sale and purchase of businesses, employee incentive schemes,  shareholder agreements, share buy-backs, business structuring, loans and corporate governance, as well as all general commercial law matters.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced: At least 5 years of corporate and commercial law experience in a reputable law firm. 
• Attentive: Brilliant attention to detail - nothing ever slips through the cracks.
• Efficient: Prioritises effectively, focuses on what matters and works productively.
• Commercial: Demonstrates business acumen and cares about business growth (including helping to grow LegalVision further).
• Collaborative: Gets a kick out of working with smart, fun and passionate people and learning from them.
• Adaptable: Grasps new concepts quickly, improves every day and goes with the flow.
• Service Orientated: Loves assisting clients and providing an amazing experience.
